The Department of Drama is unique within the theatre world of Edmonton, Alberta and Canada.

We are home to UofA Studio Theatre, our resident theatre company, producing six stunning shows a season. Our graduating BFA and MFA students have the opportunity to work their entire last year on this stage, wowing audiences and preparing their careers to take flight.

In tandem with performances by UofA Studio Theatre, over 260 undergraduate and graduate students stage more than 25 performances a year in our classrooms, and other performance spaces such as the Second Playing Space, the Corner Stage and the Media Room. We offer the most extra-curricular performance opportunities of any university or college theatre program in North America.

Your financial support will ensure that today’s students have access to the resources that give them the best education possible. With the costs of education rising and the number of students growing, your investment in our students’ experiences provides them the opportunity to pursue their passions and take their achievements out into the world.
